Bharateeya Blog Mela announcement
Call for nominations for Bharateeya Blog Mela

The next edition of the all-singing, all-dancing show called the Bharateeya Blog Mela will be hosted right here at The Opti Mystic on 11 November 2004. And though I have hosted it several times in the past, I am excited because I’ve got a chance to host it more than an year after the last time. :-)
The directions for nominating entries:
» I will accept entries dated November 4 through November 10 (2004 of course!).
» Send them in an email to sameer @ opti-mystic dot net
» Or drop it as a comment to this post
» Nominations should reach me by the evening i.e. 5 PM GMT of 10th November 2004
» A word of caution for people who will send in their nominations as comments on this post. An anti-spam mechanism on this blog flags a comment as spam if it contains 5 or more URLs. In such an event, the comment is held for moderation and may not appear on the post immediately.
The Rules :
» Posts must be either written by Indians or focus on India or Indians.
» Please send the permalinks to the posts rather than the blog URLs.
» If the permalink does not work, please send the title of the post (if available) alongwith the date of that post.
» You can nominate either your own post or someone else’s.
» Being a reasonable man, I will accept all posts except personal journal entries. All the nominated posts shall be included in the Mela without any censoring/editing. A post may be excluded only if it is a personal journal entry.
For more info about the Blog Mela, please check out this post by JK or this detailed post by one of its founding members, Ashwini. You could also head over here to look at the rich archives of past Blog Melas.
So… let the nominations flow and ohh… spread the word!! :-)

Mohd. Ali Road in the month of Ramzan is a gastronomical delight. You can eat a lot of uncommon dishes like spine, spleen, pichla (lower vertebra), zabaan, tili (tongue), fefda (lung) etc apart from the common ones like dil (heart), bheja (brain), gurda (kidney), kaleji (liver).
