Not quite full-blooded action in the Half-Blood Prince
With just about 100 pages of this book left to read, I feel an overwhelming sense of expectation from the last 100 pages.
And that’s because JK Rowling has taken too long to set a coherent tempo in a narrative that goes nowhere at times and makes you plough through pairs of ’snogging’ teens!
But as with other Potter novels, when Rowling starts up the action, she keeps it taut and suspenseful.
