Trigger-happy on bans

In a bizarre move, the Congress-led Maharashtra government has decided to ban taking pictures of Ganesh idols that are washed ashore after the immersion at the end of the Ganesh festival.

Seeing the partially dissolved/disfigured idols of their favourite deity might hurt people’s religious sentiments, argues the government!!

Religious sentiments… hmmm… I don’t know!! But this arbitrary decision has sure hurt whatever faint traces of libertarian sentiments I possess!!
