Evening Silhouettes
The evening sky over Mumbai takes on vivid hues as wisps of dark clouds float beneath lighter clouds lit up brilliantly by the setting sun… while the azure blue shades of the day recede in the advancing twilight. And the skyline stands silhouetted… dark and drab man-made structures etched against the colorful revelry of nature…
This was clicked during the 2006 monsoon season, when the evening skies are at their best. It lay around in the camera as I had forgotten all about it. As I cleaned out my CF card yesterday, I saw it and decided to upload it after some basic photoshop tweaks.

stunning colors! sometimes urban skylines can be beautiful too…
(was wondering why I hadn’t seen it on your flickr stream before:))
Charu>> Thanks Charu! Yes, the juxtaposition of natural beauty with man-made structure makes for some very interesting photos.
Though I have to say that contrast and saturation has been boosted in this photo.
Btw, I posted this on flickr on the same day as you commented. So its not a surprise that you had not seen it on my flickr stream before :-)
Hey, isn’t that PRabhadevi, with Siddhivinayak, the Peregrine, Raheja Empress to the right?
Wonderful photo…
