Well-planned attack meant to internationalize
It is becoming pretty clear that the latest terrorist attack on Mumbai is primarily aimed at posh hotels with a view to hold western guests hostage, thus commanding the attention of the Western world. CNN-IBN reported that there were reports of terrorists specifically rounding up American and other western tourists to hold them hostage. That could throw a spanner in the works of the police/commandos planning commando action against the terrorists holed up in those hotels.

Let me first offer my condolences to all the Indian people. Islamic terrorists have carried more than 12319 deadly terror attacks since 9/11 all around the world and things are worsening!

What I deplore most is that the moderate Muslims don’t speak out loudly enough against these neo-Nazi barbaric acts. Let me quote a poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller, a survivor of Dachau Nazi concentration camp, who described the political apathy of German intellectuals to the Nazi rise to power:
In Germany, they came first for the Communists,
And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists,
And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews,
And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;
Then they came for the Catholics,
And I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant.
And then . . . then they came for me . . .
And by that time there was no one left to speak up.
